Simone Jones is a multidisciplinary artist who works with film, video, sculpture and electronics. Jones graduated from the Ontario College of Art (OCA) with a concentration in Experimental Art and received her MFA in Sculpture Installation from York University in Toronto. Jones has exhibited her work at national and international venues.

Jones is represented by Ronald Feldman Fine Arts in New York.

Statement

Many of my works question the nature of perception. I am interested in how we see and how we translate what we see through various techniques of representation. Although many of my works have been referred to as technological, I use technology to expose paradoxes that are inherent in the tools themselves. In this regard, my pieces often attempt to pose or answer questions that reflect the complex relationship between lived experience and represented experience.
